President Joe Biden announced that he will address the Nation from the Oval Office in a televised announcement later today amid imminent attacks against Israel from Iran.
The White House then shortly after this announcement cancelled Biden’s plans to speak.
Iran has reportedly launched somewhere between 50 and 100 drones from their homeland that will arrive in Israeli airspace in several hours.
The White House has issued a statement on these attacks, saying,
“Iran has begun an airborne attack against Israel. President Biden is being regularly updated on the situation by his national security team and will meet with them this afternoon at the White House. His team is in constant communication with Israeli officials as well as other partners and allies. This attack is likely to unfold over a number of hours. President Biden has been clear: our support for Israel’s security is ironclad. The United States will stand with the people of Israel and support their defense against these threats from Iran.”
White House
Slingshot News reported that Biden was headed back to Washington D.C. just hours ago. The President could be seen boarding Marine One en route to the White House earlier today. The President had planned to spend his weekend vacationing in Rehoboth.
It has now been confirmed that Biden will not address the Nation tonight from the Oval Office.
The IDF is reportedly prepared for these attacks. Israeli airspace has been officially closed from 12:30am to 7:00am. It has also been reported that Iran may be sending multiple waves of attacks to Israel.
We await further announcements from the White House for details about Biden’s looming National address that has reportedly been postponed.
The Nation of Jordan has declared a State of Emergency over the Iranian attacks. Israeli Prime Minister Netenyahu is reportedly currently a war cabinet meeting as a full scale conflict escalation appears imminent from all sides.
Netenyahu has previously stated that Israel does have the support of the United States. We will see what Biden does next.
