After spending a decade as a mainstay for the Dallas Cowboys, star defensive end Demarcus Lawrence is finally a Super Bowl champion, but in the city of Seattle.
After a turbulent 2025 offseason for the Cowboys, which saw big roster moves like superstar edge rusher Micah Parsons being traded to the Green Bay Packers, the retirement of Zack Martin, and a new head coach, Cowboys fans finally got to see a franchise staple win a Lombardi trophy, but in the wrong uniform.

Lawrence, who recorded 61.5 sacks between 2014 and 2024, left Dallas in free agency in the 2025 offseason and explained his decision to Cowboys fans after his departure, stating his goal was to win a Super Bowl, which he wasn’t sure was possible in Dallas.
Now, just one season later, Lawrence’s choice couldn’t have been more right. While the Cowboys finished their 2025 season short of the playoffs for the second consecutive year, the Seahawks’ “dark side” defense took the league by storm, paving their way to Super Bowl 60.
This season, Lawrence recorded six sacks, with two in the Seahawks’ playoff run, though he pressured the quarterback 5 times in the Super Bowl.
While it may be aggravating to some diehard Dallas fans, others have expressed a bittersweet feeling for the star defensive end, finally achieving what he set out to do years ago. While he may be in another team’s uniform, Lawrence holds a special place in the hearts of Cowboys fans who watched him dominate in Dallas for a decade.
