Former NBA Player Drew Gordon Dies At 33

Former NBA player Drew Gordon, who played in the NBA during the 2014-15 season, has reportedly died at the age of 33. Gordon’s death could only be described as a shocking tragedy.

His younger brother, Aaron Gordon, is a current star for the Denver Nuggets.

The former NBA player reportedly died in a car accident in Portland, Oregon on Thursday night. His death was confirmed in a statement by the Denver Nuggets. The statement was also released with Gordon’s agent Calvin Andrews.

Gordon played for the Philadelphia 76ers during his lone season in the NBA. Along with playing the NBA, Drew Gordon also played in the G League, Serbia, Sardinia, Turkey, France, Lithuania, Poland, Ukraine and three different teams in Russia.

In his lone NBA season, Gordon, who played the position of power forward, just as his brother Aaron Gordon plays, the former 76er averaged 8 minutes of play per game. He averaged 1.9 points per game, shooting 42% from the floor. He also averaged 2 rebounds per game.

Though he only played in the NBA for a short period of time, Drew Gordon was a beloved figure in the game of basketball. His family has had a tremendous impact on the sport.

The power forward began his career at the collegiate level, playing for UCLA. He then went on to play at New Mexico before starting his professional basketball career.

Gordon is survived by his three children and wife Angela, who he tragically leaves behind after his death resulting from an unfortunate and tragic traffic incident.

Michael Carter-Williams, who played for the 76ers with Gordon, posted the following message on his Twitter to commemorate the late player,
