The full transcript of the interview of President Joe Biden conducted by the Robert Hur investigation was uncovered today during Hur’s appearance before Congress.
The transcript of the interview was subpoenaed by House Judiciary Committee Chair Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, and Oversight Committee Chair James Comer, R-Ky. These transcripts became a source of great controversy after President Joe Biden publicly claimed during a White House address that investigators broached the topic of his son Beau, who died of cancer in 2015.
Biden told Americans during a nationally televised address following the release of the Hur report, “How in the hell dare he raise that? I don’t need anyone, I don’t need anyone to remind me of when he passed away.”
NBC News later reported that investigators had not raised the topic of Beau Biden, but that Biden had done it himself. The transcripts released today following Hur’s appearance in Congress reveal that it was in fact President Biden who raised the topic of Beau Biden, and not federal investigators.
The transcripts also reveal several other disturbing instances, one in which the President made audible car noises with his mouth while describing his Chevrolet Corvette sports car.
They also show that Biden was unaware of when former President Trump won the Presidential Election. Of course, that election occurred in November 2016, but Biden said that President Donald Trump was elected in November of 2017.
Biden also made strange comments about his wife during the interview, asking investigators about the search of his Delaware home, “I just hope you didn’t find any risqué pictures of my wife in a bathing suit, which you probably did. She’s beautiful.”
