Jack Black Sends A Message To Britney Spears After Viral Cover

Actor Jack Black made headlines last week after posting a video singing Britney Spears’ ‘Baby One More Time,’ on his Instagram with Tenacious D bandmate Kyle Gass. The duo has been rocking together for nearly forty years.

In just three days, the post has garnered over 3 million likes on Instagram. Black’s cover of the song has gone viral. On Sunday, Black attended the premier of Kung Fu Panda 4, the long awaited latest installment of the animated series. The premier was held at the AMC 14 at The Grove in Los Angeles.

Jack Black has been voice acting in the Kung Fu Panda series since 2008. The last installment of that series came in 2016, with the sequel to the original Kung Fu Panda coming in 2011. Fans have waited 8 years for this film. Black said about the film and his family,

I got teenagers so it’s tough to get cool dad points at that age. But that’s normal, I think. That’s how it was for me when I was a teenager. The last thing I wanted was to be with my cool parents.

Black said about the video, “Britney, if you’re watching, I love you. I love the song.” Bandmate Kyle Gass added, “We’re very proud of it, [and] I hope you like it, too.”

When asked about possibly collaborating with Spears on a cover of the hit song, Black sounded enthused, telling Entertainment Tonight, “I’m here! I’m ready when you are. I’m waiting by the phone. I got kicks! I don’t quite have Britney kicks, but you know, I got some moves.”
