Karine Jean-Pierre Humiliated After Failed April Fool’s Joke (Video)

White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre tried to have a little fun today during the White House Press briefing, and it didn’t go well.

To open up her remarks, Jean-Pierre made a joke about President Biden revoking the ‘Hatch Act,’ which prohibits civil-service employees in the executive branch of the federal government, except the president and vice president, from engaging in some forms of political activity.

Jean-Pierre opened today’s press briefing by saying, “So I have something at the top for all of you, I think you’ll be really interested in this. So President Biden is scheduled to announce he is revoking the Hatch Act so, as a gift to all of you, so no I can actually take all of your questions about 2024… No? I thought you would love that?”

Towards the end of Jean-Pierre’s statement, the press in the room can audibly saying, “No!” See a clip of the White House Press Secretary failing to make that joke below,

During this same briefing, Jean-Pierre was asked about a Chinese National that was arrested for trespassing on a California naval base. A reporter asked the Press Secretary, “A Chinese national was arrested for trespassing on a California naval base. Does this speak to a larger concern? … What are you doing about this?”

Jean-Pierre responded, saying, “I just don’t want to get too far into it.” See a clip of that moment below,
