Reality Television Star Dead At 20

Sean Garinger, best known for his role in “16 and Pregnant” passed away this week at the age of 20 following a tragic ATV accident.

The former reality show star was trying to move an ATV outside his home when the “ground gave way” while he was attempting to park.

Garinger, who shares two children with his ex-wife Selena Gutierrez, was best known for his role on the reality television show “16 and Pregnant.” Garinger appeared on the sixth season of the show with his ex-wife.

The Watauga County Sheriff’s Office released a statement following the accident.

 “Our hearts are heavy with sorrow for the loss experienced by the family and loved ones of the victim.”

Sean’s mother released a statement following his death.

“He was just moving [the ATV] from one parking spot to the next for me, so I could back into park … He pulled [in] front of me to park the ATV and the ground gave way from all the rain and mud.”

Sean’s mother explained that when the ground collapsed underneath him, the ATV flipped over and “crushed” Grainger’s skull.

“I ran to neighbors trying to get someone to help me get the ATV off of him. No one answered. I ran back to him,” she recalled. “By that time, I realized he wasn’t alive anymore.”

Sean’s obituary details him as a kind caring individual, who meant the world to those around him.

“He never knew a stranger, regardless of age, and was always willing to lend a helping hand. His kind and generous nature endeared him to all who knew him.”

“Sean had a passion for living life to the fullest. He enjoyed driving RC cars, sky diving, shark diving, dirt bikes, flying his drone, driving ATVs, surfing, and spending time in the ocean. 

“His adventurous spirit and love for excitement were evident in all aspects of his life.”
