Roger Stone Reveals The Truth About Kevin McCarthy-Trump Chief Of Staff Rumors

Bloomberg published a report several days ago alleging that former President Donald Trump, who will be the Republican nominee for President in 2024, is considering appointing former House Speaker Kevin McCarthy as his Chief of Staff if he wins the Presidency in November.

That report also said that Trump has ruled out Vivek Ramaswamy as a potential running mate in 2024. Amongst those allegedly being considered for the position include former Democrat Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard, former Housing and Urban Development Secretary Ben Carson, and others.

The report was met with severe disdain across social media, as Kevin McCarthy is a less-than beloved figure in Republican circles, especially those who support President Donald Trump, after his failed bid as House Speaker.

McCarthy eventually resigned from Congress in December of 2023, having been the shortest serving House Speaker in the history of the position.

During his daily broadcast of the StoneZONE podcast, longtime Trump friend and advisor Roger Stone took time to address these rumors. Stone asserted that he spoke with members of the Trump team, and confirmed that Kevin McCarthy is not being considered for the position of Chief of Staff.

Stone said on his podcast to Slingshot publisher Troy Smith,

I checked on this this morning with the Trump camp and I can tell you, Troy, it is categorically false. There is no current consideration of making former Speaker Kevin McCarthy the White House Chief of Staff. While we’re at it, it will also not be Senator Lindsey Graham.

This is disinformation that is being sewn to try to undermine President Trump in his base, but I can tell you from authoritative sources, it is simply wrong.
