The White House has just released an official statement on the Iranian drone attack that is currently reportedly hurdling towards the Nation of Israel just moments ago.

That attack was a response to an Israeli airstrike that killed Iranian Brig. Gen. Mohammad Reza Zahedi just days ago, along with several other high-ranking Iranian Military officials.

By all accounts it appears that Iran has declared war on Israel, though we have no official announcement on that matter yet. The statement from the White House on the attack by Iran against Israel reads,

“Iran has begun an airborne attack against Israel. President Biden is being regularly updated on the situation by his national security team and will meet with them this afternoon at the White House. His team is in constant communication with Israeli officials as well as other partners and allies. This attack is likely to unfold over a number of hours. President Biden has been clear: our support for Israel’s security is ironclad. The United States will stand with the people of Israel and support their defense against these threats from Iran.”

President Joe Biden was supposed to spend the weekend vacationing at his beach house in Rehoboth, Delaware, but was reportedly pulled away from the beach just minutes after news of the Iranian attacks broke.

Biden is headed back to Washington D.C. right now, per reports. Today marks a tremendous escalation in the conflict in the Middle East. The attacks by Iran against Israel could end up killing thousands of innocent people.

The Biden Administration has been signaling that they are stepping away from their support of Israel over the last week, with White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre saying that the Administration was “listening” to the voters in adopting a less supportive stance towards Israel.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netenyahu has stated that the United States is currently supporting Israel, despite claims from the White House that their policy has shifted.
