Representative Anna Paulina Luna from Florida recently slammed the Department of Justice under President Donald Trump for releasing the first phase of documents related to the Epstein list of clients that has remained classified since his death in a federal prison in 2019.

Several influential voices in Republican politics, including Laura Loomer, have also slammed the release of the documents.

The release of these documents was conducted by Attorney General Pam Bondi, who invited a group of right-wing social media influencers to the White House and gave them binders that contained largely public documents pertaining to the case of prolific sex-trafficker Jeffery Epstein. That move was largely panned by both members of the press and members of Congress shortly after it was publicized.

Rep. Anna Paulina Luna was among the first members to speak out against the move, claiming that her Congressional committee had not been informed about the planned release of the documents. This situation quickly became the first major scandal of the Trump Administration.

Shortly after the scandal exploded, Attorney General Bondi released a memo on the Department of Justice’s website, including the full release.

Anna Paulina Luna Slams The Department Of Justice On X

In a post to her X account on February 27th, 2025, the Florida Congresswoman posted the following message to her X account, slamming the release of the Epstein documents to social media influencers, a move which she characterized as bypassing Congress.

Luna’s statement reads,

“I nor the task force were given or reviewed the Epstein documents being released today… A NY Post story just revealed that the documents will simply be Epstein’s phonebook. THIS IS NOT WHAT WE OR THE AMERICAN PEOPLE ASKED FOR. GET US THE INFORMATION WE ASKED FOR instead of leaking old info to press.”

The post, made at 2:10 PM, has already received over 1.1 million unique views on Elon Musk’s X platform.

Based on her position as the leader of a Congressional task force focused on the declassification of federal secrets, Luna obviously feels that Congress should have played a larger role in the release of these documents, possibly giving us our first major spat between this Republican Administration and their counterparts in the House of Representatives.

Laura Loomer, Anna Paulina Luna Slams White House Over Epstein Documents Release

Independent journalist Laura Loomer has addressed the decision by Attorney General Bondi and her Department of Justice to release the Epstein documents by criticizing the optics of handing out binders to select social media influencers.

In a post to her X account, Loomer said,

No. No “influencer” should get a binder. This is a global p******** and blackmail operation that implicates world leaders. This isn’t a social media party. Children were r**** and Epstein is d***. The DOJ should have done an open source document dump. Who is being protected?

Within her post, Loomer accused the Trump Administration and Department of Justice for covering up for Epstein and his allies. The reporter then posted about the matter for the rest of the day, taking aim at those around the President for making the release such an ’embarrassment’.

Is There Truth To The Prince Andrew Epstein Connection?

It has long been speculated that Prince Andrew of the British royal family may be on the Epstein client list, as the infamous criminal shared a public relationship with the Royal Family member. The pair reportedly met in the 1990s as a result of Epstein’s relationship with Ghislaine Maxwell.

Andrew reportedly visited several of Epstein’s properties over the years, including his New York mansion that was raided by the FBI on July 6, 2019, the same day he was arrested at Teterboro Airport in New Jersey after returning from Paris.

During that raid police discovered large amounts of cash, diamonds, and an expired passport with a fake identity. They also found documents related to his alleged trafficking operations and disturbing materials later revealed in court.

Prince Andrew’s relationship with Epstein was largely exposed in a lawsuit by Virginia Giuffre, who claimed to have been forced into a sexual relationship with Prince Andrew by Epstein and Maxwell when she was just 17 years old. The incident allegedly occurred at Epstein’s London home.

Prince Andrew, Virginia Giuffre and Ghislaine Maxwell in 2001

It is unquestionable that Prince Andrew had some sort of relationship with Jeffery Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell, as some outlets have reported that Andrew visited Epstein’s properties ‘dozens of times’ over the course of their near-20 20-year relationship.

It appears that there certainly is some truth to the allegations that Prince Andrew is closely tied to both Epstein and Maxwell.

Is There Truth To The Trump Epstein Connection?

There is no question that President Donald Trump had a relationship with Jeffery Epstein at a point in his life. The extent of their relationship is still widely unknown, though it appears that Trump went to great lengths to avoid the rich criminal.

Epstein was banned from Trump’s Mar-A-Lago estate in 2007, a year before charges were ever filed against him in 2008. Trump reportedly banned Epstein from his club for making inappropriate comments to an underage member.

Trump and Jeffery Epstein

The Trump Epstein connection is one that is certainly troubling for those who study it, but we must honestly report that there is ample evidence that Trump distanced himself from Epstein.

Could his Administration be slowing the release of these documents to stall backlash against the President for his relationship with the deceased criminal?

Will The Epstein List 2025 Release Go Down As A Failure?

It is undoubted that the fumbled release of the Epstein client list by Attorney General Pam Bondi and her Justice Department will go down as a tremendous failure for multiple reasons. The optics were bad, and the content of the “release” was even worse.

Voters were promised secrets to be exposed, and what they instead received was a cloaked and veiled campaign to spread disinformation about one of the worst cases of abuse and fraud we have witnessed as a country.

The backlash from Laura Loomer, Anna Paulina Luna, and others over the Epstein list is well justified. This release was an embarrassment for the Trump Administration to say the least.
