During a campaign stop yesterday at a gas station in Pennsylvania, President Joe Biden snapped at a reporter that asked him a question about tariffs and China, specifically pertaining to steel.

Biden could be seen entering the gas station, and attempting to greet several shoppers who seemed less-than-interested in meeting the President.

He then goes over to a serving counter, where he makes small talk with the workers behind the counter before going behind the counter himself and taking a picture with the cashiers.

After this short exchange, the President walks to an open door with his Secret Service detail. Just as Biden was about to walk out of the gas station, a female reporter shouted out a question about U.S. relations with China.

She asked, “On the new steel tariffs, are you concerned they’ll hurt your relationship with Xi Jinping?”

Biden, after saying that he could not hear the woman, responded by saying “No.” When the reporter followed up by asking Biden why he felt that his move to implement new steel tariffs would hurt the U.S. relationship with China, he seemingly became angry with the reporter, and snipped back, “don’t jump!”

The President then bolted out of the door, not answering the question, as the press gave a confused chuckle in response to the odd exchange. See a clip of that moment from Biden’s bizarre gas station visit from yesterday below,

Many accused President Biden of attempting to copy the campaign tactics of former President Donald Trump, who made a stop to a New York bodega that had been the scene of a vicious crime after his criminal trial this week.
