Cause Of Death For ‘Pawn Stars’ Rick Harrison’s Son Revealed
Adam Harrison, the son of ‘Pawn Stars’ actor and Gold and Silver Pawn Show owner Rick Harrison, died on January 19th, 2024 in Las Vegas, Nevada. He was just 39 years old.
It is now being reported that Harrison’s cause of death was an accidental overdose of fentanyl and methamphetamine. This was confirmed by the Clark County Office of the Coroner/Medical Examiner to TMZ.
After allegedly serving time in prison, Harrison was reportedly displaying odd behavior in the days leading up to his death. He reportedly barricaded himself in the guest house he was staying in.
Adam is the brother of Corey Harrison, otherwise known as ‘Big Hoss.’ Corey has appeared on the ‘Pawn Stars’ show since it began, while Adam never appeared on show, and was generally kept out of the limelight.
Rick Harrison’s statement on Instagram following the news of his son’s death was short, and heartbreaking. It simply read, “You will always be in my heart! I love you Adam.”
In September, Corey Harrison was arrested for DUI in Las Vegas after his white Ford F250 pickup was allegedly seen veering back and forth into a bike lane. Police reported that Harrison’s eyes were bloodshot, and that there was a strong smell of alcohol coming from his vehicle.
Harrison vowed to fight that DUI charge, and there has not yet been a trial.
In 2018, Rick Harrison’s father Richard, who was known as the ‘Old Man’ on the hit History Channel television show, passed away.
The Harrison family put out a statement at the time of Adam’s death, reading, “Our family is extremely saddened by the death of Adam. We ask for privacy as we grieve his loss.”
Harrison has blamed policies at the U.S. Southern Border for his son’s death, saying, “The fentanyl crisis in this country must be taken more seriously. It seems it is just flowing over the borders and nothing is being done about it. We must do better.”
