Democrat Steven Woodrow Deletes X Account After Celebrating Trump Assassination Attempt

Steven Woodrow, who is a Democrat State Representative in Colorado that currently represents the State’s 2nd District, has deleted his X account after being harshly criticized for a post about the assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump at his rally in Butler, Pennsylvania tonight.

Trump had his right ear grazed by a bullet shot by the shooter 20-year-old Thomas Crooks, who had traveled from his home several miles from the rally in order to attempt to assassinate the former President.

Trump released a statement after the incident, writing on his Truth Social account, “I want to thank The United States Secret Service, and all of Law Enforcement, for their rapid response on the shooting that just took place in Butler, Pennsylvania. Most importantly, I want to extend my condolences to the family of the person at the Rally who was killed, and also to the family of another person that was badly injured. It is incredible that such an act can take place in our Country. Nothing is known at this time about the shooter, who is now dead. I was shot with a bullet that pierced the upper part of my right ear. I knew immediately that something was wrong in that I heard a whizzing sound, shots, and immediately felt the bullet ripping through the skin. Much bleeding took place, so I realized then what was happening. GOD BLESS AMERICA!”

After this assassination attempt took place, Colorado Democrat Steven Woodrow posted a response that was universally criticized by Republicans and Democrats. In a now-deleted post, Woodrow stated, “The last thing we needed was sympathy for the devil but here we are.”
