Former University of Michigan star Craig Roh, who played defensive end for the Wolverines, has reportedly tragically died at the young age of 33. Roh also played in the NFL for the Carolina Panthers.
Roh had reportedly been battling colon cancer, and passed away due to complications from the disease on February 26th.
During his senior season at Michigan, Roh was named an All-Big Ten second-team selection, along with achieving Academic All-Big Ten honors. In 2015, Roh moved to the Canadian Football League.
Roh would spend 6 years in the Canadian Football League, playing for the BC Lions, Winnipeg Blue Bombers and Toronto Argonauts. The Argonauts were once famously owned by acting legend John Candy.

Roh was a standout athlete at Chaparral High School in Scottsdale, Arizona – he was named Gatorade Player of the Year in Arizona during his senior year, and he earned a Scholar-Athlete Award from the College Football Hall of Fame. He was recruited by the University of Michigan and was a quick success, being named Defensive Player of the Game in just his third game. He was an All-Big Ten second-team selection and got Academic All-Big Ten honors his senior year.
Roh signed as a free agent with the Carolina Panthers in 2013, then in 2015 moved to the Canadian Football League.
