Scientists working in the Amazon have reportedly discovered a new snake species, previously unknown to mankind. The species is called a, “northern green anaconda,” and it is reportedly the largest snake in the world.
The group of scientists reportedly traveled to the Bameno region of Baihuaeri Waorani Territory, embarking on a 10-day hike to get to the area. In that area, the claim to have seen several anacondas, “urking in the shallows, lying in wait for prey,”
New Snake Species Is Over 26 Feet Long
The northern green anaconda discovered by Professor Bryan Fry, a biologist from the University of Queensland, who led the team was reportedly over 20 feet in length, measuring in at 26.7 feet long.
Fry said in a statement about the discovery,

The team reported that they were told there are snakes in the area up to 26 feet in length. This terrifying new discovery will surely make everybody wonder… What else is lurking out there that we don’t know about? Especially in the Amazon rainforest.
The legendary snake, that we must omit has never actually been discovered (yet), reportedly weighs an estimated 1,100 pounds.
