Both airlines involved stated that the wingtip of American Airlines Flight 929, which was heading from Miami to Sao Paulo, Brazil, made contact with the tail of the parked Frontier aircraft.
Passengers of the Frontier flight were upset following the accident, expressing their displeasure with the incident.
“There’s like a few hundred of us in the terminal all very, very angry,” Christian Galvez said. “They told us that an American Airlines plane had clipped the back wing.”
“If they decide to not refund all of our money, that’s like $500 lost,” he said. “We already spent money on tickets to go to the aquarium, to go to a bunch of other places in Texas that we are probably not going to get that money back either.”
