Vogue Model Sian Scale Dies Aged 28

Sian Scale, a model for Vogue that was involved in advertisement campaigns for Burberry, Dior and Chanel, has reportedly died at the age of 28. Scale passed away after battling a rare form of cancer.

Scale was based in Melbourne, Australia, but had worked in London, New York and Paris. She grew up in Mansfield, around 124 miles northeast of Melbourne.

Her family made the announcement of the young star’s death, saying,

“She was determined and strong and had such grace in navigating the most difficult year of her life with such acceptance, optimism and vulnerability. Sian was very generous, loving, kind, fun, adventurous and modest.”

The model also participated in campaigns for Vogue and Vanity Fair. The model’s last message to her family just prior to her death was,

“If anyone wants to do anything in memory of me, it is to give blood – it is the gift of life.”

Chadwick Models, which managed Scale’s career in modeling, released the following message on her tragic passing,

“It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we mourn the passing of our beautiful model Sian Scale. She was dearly loved by our Chadwick team, models, her international agents and clients.

Sian was a bright and unique light in our world who unapologetically marched to her own beat. We will all miss her more than words can express, and her incredible work in pictures will immortalize her forever.”

Scale spent her life pursuing what she loved, and she was extremely successful in doing so. The fact that she had risen to prominence in modeling is a testament to her ability, and her tenacity.
