White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre refused to say whether or not President Biden plans to debate former President Donald Trump during the 2024 Election during her daily press briefing on Monday.
This question came just one day after it was reported by Reuters and others that members of the mainstream media are allegedly urging President Biden to debate President Trump prior to the 2024 Election.
Former President Trump has called for a debate “ANY TIME, ANYWHERE, ANY PLACE,” in many Truth Social postings. The White House Press Secretary was asked yesterday during her briefing,
“In 2020 do you think that the American electorate was helped by seeing Donald Trump and Joe Biden on the same stage at the same time at a Presidential debate, was that helpful, do you think, in terms of people making that decision?”
Reporter TO Jean-Pierre
Jean-Pierre answered by saying,
“That’s a question for the American people. I can’t speak to that from here. 2020 was a different time. It was a different time.”

The reporter followed up, “Looking ahead to this upcoming election cycle, do you think it would helpful to see these two candidates debate?”
The White House Press Secretary responded by saying,
“As the President would say, you can’t kid a kidder. What I will say is that is a question for the campaign. They will gladly, I’m sure, gladly take that question.”
