Retired Professional Wrestler and Ex-Candidate Daniel Rodimer Surrenders to Police

Retired professional wrestler and former Congressional candidate Daniel Rodimer surrendered to the police this week after a warrant was issued for his arrest following the death of a man who Died of a head injury in Las Vegas a year ago.

Investigators later said they learned Tapp — who himself was acquitted of murder after serving two decades in prison — had been involved in an altercation inside the hotel room before he was found and taken to the hospital.

The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department stated that a warrant had been issued for Rodimer’s arrest on a charge of open murder in the death of Christopher Tapp. Tapp was treated on October 29th of last year after being found at the hotel and taken to the hospital.

Doctors pronounced Tapp dead at a Las Vegas hospital on Nov. 5. The Clark County Coroner’s Office ruled Tapp’s death a homicide as a result of blunt force trauma to his head, documents said. A scan showed he suffered several brain bleeds.

Police stated that detectives opened a suspicious death investigation after receiving information that Tapp’s death may have been “a result of a purposed accident.” The Clark County Coroner’s Office ruled Tapp’s death a homicide due toblunt force head trauma to the head.

David Chesnoff and Richard Schonfeld, Rodimer’s Las Vegas lawyers, released a statement to The Associated Press.

“He intends on vigorously contesting the allegations and asks that the presumption of innocence guaranteed all Americans be respected,”

After Rodimer lost the Nevada election by round 13,000 votes, he then moved to Texas, where he attempted to campaign in a special election for Texas’s 6th congressional district seat, where he received less than 3% of the vote.
