During an interview with CNN tonight, Independent candidate for President Robert F. Kennedy Jr. said that President Joe Biden is a bigger threat to democracy than former President Donald Trump.

Kennedy was asked during the interview, “When people talk about the threat to democracy that Trump poses, do you really think that is equal to Biden?”

RFK Jr.’s response seemed to shock the host, as the Independent candidate said,

“Biden is much worse threat to democracy.. President Biden is the first president history that has used the federal agencies to censor political speech. To censor his opponent. I can say that because I just won a case in the Federal Court of Appeals and now before the Supreme Court that shows that he started censoring not just me, but 37 hours after he took the oath of Office he was censoring me. No President in the country has ever done that. The greatest threat to democracy is not somebody who questions election returns, but a President of the United States who would use the power of his office to force the social media companies Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, to open a portal and give access to that portal to the FBI, the CIA, the IRS, the CISA, the NIH, to censor his political critics. As in Biden, for the first, the first President in the history used his power over the Secret Service to deny Secret Service to one of his political opponents. For political reasons he is weaponizing the federal agencies. Those are really critical threats.”

See a clip of Kennedy making that statement on CNN tonight in the clip below,

This statement comes after the DNC officially launched an effort led by Democratic strategist Lis Smith to thwart Kennedy’s attempt to gain ballot access across the United States. Kennedy’s campaign claimed this week that he has gained enough signatures for ballot access in the State of North Carolina.

Kennedy’s campaign has achieved ballot access in four states to this point, including Hawaii and Nevada.
